It took me longer to get to do this than I thought, but IT'S HAPPY DANCE
TIME!!!!

I finished Classic Kimono late last night. There's more backstitch than there
appears to be (all the trim), and since I'd used 2 strands of rayon on
Aida-18, the backstitching in the fully-stitched area was a bear to get in
because there just was no more room to push the needle through. But, I did
it, and it looks beautiful. Now I just need to iron and frame it. I have the
frame already ... found it at WalMart for 3 bucks ... it's a wooden frame
painted with Oriental flowers in the same colors as those on Kimono.

I do intend to do Classic Kimono again as a gift for someone else, but now I
know to use Aida-16 when using rayon. (Hark! I hear dozens of pencils
scratching that reminder on scrap paper. <g>) That will make Kimono too large
for the same frame, which only comes in 5x7, but easier on my nerves in the
final stages, especially because the gold thread won't fray/break as much from
being forced through non-existant spaces.

Now back to the Mickey Mouse picture I started as a Christmas present. (I did
say Christmas 1999 last fall, didn't I?)
