No, I don't think you're being too paranoid. In fact, I got a smut email the
other day where there *was* a subject header..."Needle in a Haystack". I
accidently opened it because this happens to be the name of my LNS.
So IMHO you can't be too paranoid, and I wouldn't join a list that didn't
somehow identify it's email in the subject header myself. Like you, I don't
open anonymous email from unknown sources. :)
