I guess I'm the odd man out here. I don't open any mail. Ever!!
I have my software setup to preview messages. So I can read up to 20
lines without opening the mail itself. Longer messages, and I can
simply scroll down to read the rest.
SPAM is pretty apparent and gets deleted within me reading the first
few words, as do flames.
List messages are automatically forwarded to predetermined folders, so
I don't have to process the context as well as the content.
Attachments, HTML, etc simply come out as a million characters, and I
have set a size limitation on download.
