I think it is not an issue w.r.to disk usage, but creating
it unrequested and without the knowledge of the user. IMHO
disc usage is no an big issue anymore ... people store
loads of music and videos on their disk, even a revision
library is small ;-) ...
Anyway, how about asking the user before creating it the
first time:
"Create log-library at ~/.arch-log-library/? (yes,never,help,edit)
yes => do it & use it
never => disable it
help => this will greatly improve speed of several Xtla
commands and will cost only little disk space. You
may delete it a any time with loosing anything
except speed.
edit => prompt for another directory
