I agree they are eaiser to use and lightweight.
There are some steps:

1. Add tree-widget to xtla
2. Make tla-browse as the essential part of xtla. It is option now.
3. Remove tla-archives.

You wrote 3. is not acceptable, How about 1. and 2.?

Yes. Improving the cooperation between inventory, bookmark and browser are
important task. I think we should use `hook' heavily. 

However, I don't want to support both tla-archives and tla-browse
about documentation and source code.

Maybe this one is the issue in the meeting:)
