About two months ago I started encountering a periodic problem where after a point (could be 10 minutes to 2 days) any new IM window that messenger opened would not show anything in the message area. So I could not see anything a user was sending me and while I could see what I was typing in the msg entry area, it would not show in the main area once I sent it. The user I had the IM with could see my messages. The only remedy was to shutdown and restart the IM program. I tried a full uninstall and reinstall but it still happens. I contacted yahoo about this and ran in diagnostic mode, making a few reports but never heard back from them (big surprise).
Has anyone had this problem and overcome it? I am seriously considering going to another messenger client. I am using XP with all of the latest updates. Thanks. Ben
