HENCE WHAT YOU LISTENED TO. ________________________________ Date: Wed, 12 Nov 2008 15:03:32 +0200 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] Re: Anele Mda's interview with news24 Comrades, Who is Prince Mashele, did he really work in the Presidency before becoming an "expert" on many things?. I am raising this because his commentary and his questions in the TV program were problematic. Surely, the matter of the Youth Component of Shikota is something we cannot afford to ignore. We must be informed of their plans, intentions and activities, this will enable us develep and apply correct, informed abd suffcient strategies to counter and defeat them. The second point i want to raise is that as marxist, we must demonstrate high level of tolerence, discipline and understanding. It cannot be corrcet that we are only prepared to listen to what we want to hear. Marxist have a repsonsibility to study different forms of topics, interact with diverse forms of knowledge and literature etc. Karl Marx dedicated many years studying the writtings, anaylsis and conclusions of Dhuring before he could respond to him with what is called anti-dhuring. I agree that we should be vigilant at all times, but vigilancy should not be equated to simple labelling and vallification of others. Coming to the issues of Anele Mda and the new Shikota youth wing, my intitial impresion of her is that she is an opportunist. I listened to her in a debate on Special Assignment last night, the only issue she could raise was the Kill for ZUMA Statement. Even when the preseneter asked her waht she is going to offer to young people, her response again was that her party is going to be a moral party which will not kill for Zuma. Preceeding from the above, from a layman's point of anaylsis, it is clear that the shikota youth wing will be an organsation of no substance. They are not going to present young people with any alternatives, they will mobilise on the ticket of morality, respect etc, as if they themselves are custodians of morality. > Cde Linda partly I agree with your thinking Comrades I wanted to remind > some > of you, Cde OR Tambo warned us at Morogolo Conference 1969 he said *'Wage > a > relentless war against disrupters and defend the ANC against provocateurs > and enemy agents.
