COSAS is out making silly headlines again, but i think it is the duty of
all of us to lend a helping hand in that movement, not making passing
remarks about the behaviour they have adopted of late.
In fact, the whole thing does not start now, it has been there for the
past few years, and we silently observed it and assume maybe it was part
of change in our struggle. Now it has affected COSAS' image and role, then
we should beging to lobby the entire PYA to engage COSAS and see how far
they can assist. I imagine as former members we would not be taken serious
by the whiskey-wielding modern leaders of that movement, instead we would
be insulted.
Those who have the opportunity to engage with the National leadership of
the PYA formations can perhaps assist us by engaging them on the matter.
We need not to write any letters to he editors of the newspapers to
lampoon COSAS or any individual 'seen to be a problem' in the whole
miasma, but at elast let us try to constructively assist.
If we are not careful, the whole behaviour will fully develop even with
ANC YL, unless if we are able to quickly jump and do something about it.
COSAS is imitating something, it is not like they are creative, our
politics are degenerating into such mess.
Let us quickly send SOS to anybody who cares to listen, without making
empty noises about it, Maqabane.
