Comrade Lazola I can see that you are still sore.

I am sorry for that. I was in the wrong for calling you a snake in the
grass.

You were also in the wrong for publicly contradicting your leadership just
after they had spoken.

I suggest that we call it quits and "cease fire", since we have been advised
to do so.

In response to your latest message, please check the original YCLSA
statement. It does not denounce COSATU, NUMSA or SADTU. It says "certain
individuals within COSATU and two of its major affiliates, NUMSA and SADTU".

The YCL does not appear to be in a hurry to name all these individuals, but
I am sure you have by now seen their latest press release, which names one
KZN comrade and indicates that one of the other alleged factionalists can be
found on the front page of today's Business Day.

I liked the quotation Cde Sandile pasted in from the Communist Manifesto:

*"The Communists have over the great mass of the proletariat the advantage
of clearly understanding the line of march, the conditions, and the ultimate
general results of the proletarian movement."*

The Party is never against the trade unionists. The trade unionists should
therefore not try to second-guess the Party. If the Party has spoken, they
should accept it and not take public pot-shots at the Party for years at a
time because their ideas did not prevail for the time being in the Party's
Congress.

Best,

VC
