I was in the wrong for calling you a snake in the grass. You were also in the wrong for publicly contradicting your leadership just after they had spoken. I suggest that we call it quits and "cease fire", since we have been advised to do so. In response to your latest message, please check the original YCLSA statement. It does not denounce COSATU, NUMSA or SADTU. It says "certain individuals within COSATU and two of its major affiliates, NUMSA and SADTU". The YCL does not appear to be in a hurry to name all these individuals, but I am sure you have by now seen their latest press release, which names one KZN comrade and indicates that one of the other alleged factionalists can be found on the front page of today's Business Day. I liked the quotation Cde Sandile pasted in from the Communist Manifesto: "The Communists have over the great mass of the proletariat the advantage of clearly understanding the line of march, the conditions, and the ultimate general results of the proletarian movement." The Party is never against the trade unionists. The trade unionists should therefore not try to second-guess the Party. If the Party has spoken, they should accept it and not take public pot-shots at the Party for years at a time because their ideas did not prevail for the time being in the Party's Congress. I said this yesterday that I'm dissapointed by the YCLSA statement on attacking COSATU and NUMSA in particular. Cde Domza decided to insult me without checking with me why I have that feeling and share it with a group. The YCLSA secretary last year in ANCYL NGC was booed by the delegates and as a delegate on that NGC I was dissapointed by such a behaviour but what has inspired me after is a paper which was published by Umsebenzi which was prepared by the Sec to deliver there. That paper says " We are not your enemies but the enemies of your enemies" now since when did that change from the YCLSA, since when where genuine issues are raised amounts to attacks, since when when comrades differs from one another amounts to campaigns? Are we the organisation to agree or to debate and accept different views? When Cde Masondo was opening the Mafikeng Congress said these are IFP tendencies then I was distrubed by such a statement but now this is happening and I see as such. May I be told NUMSA and COSATU are YCLSA enemies or SACP enemies or they are the enemies of SACP and YCLSA enemies. If I may be told I will appreciate it. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bhekinkosi Williamson Mvovo Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2011 9:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [YCLSA Discussion] YCLSA National Committee Statement, 31 May 2011 Cease fire, cease fire, cease fire, cease fire!!!!!!!!!!
