MARKET TODAY
Market is likely to open flat following a subdued trend across the
global markets. Yesterday the Indian market fell to the lowest level
in over three years amidst a late sell-off on the bourses. Finally the
Sensex slipped 179 points to close at 8,427 and the Nifty was down 52
points to close at 2,622. However, overseas investors have stepped up
their selling in the past few days. Globally too, there is no respite
for the equity markets. A recovery in Asian stocks may trigger a
rebound on the domestic bourses after a sharp slide in the past few
days.

According to data released by the NSE, in the last session, FIIs were
net sellers of index futures to the tune of Rs 456.71 crore while
bought index options worth Rs 669.58 crore. They were net buyers of
stock futures to the tune of Rs 219.77 crore and bought stock options
worth Rs 44.12 crore.
