Hi Tamara,
it is likely that the error message you are getting is correct - the
database is 'full'. 10.1.1 is not the most up to date version of vX
you can get - I believe that is now up to 10.1.9. You can update your
installation by downloading the free updater from here: http://tinyurl.com/3jsgbk
However, I don't believe this is going to help you. If I recall
correctly, v10.0 only allowed a database to grow to 2Gb. V10.1
increased that limit to 4gb, but I think that is as far as things can
go. One of the updates included a series of warnings as the limit was
approached, but I don't remember which update that was (it's about 5
years ago now!).
If you database has hit the hard limit, I don't believe there is much
you can do except go back to one of the earlier backups and restore
what you can from that. If you can get a working database in vX, that
database can be upgraded by installing Office 2008 and allowing
entourage to upgrade the database. v2008 has no effective limit on the
size of the database.
