Hi All-

Am I correct that my identity needs to contain all of the following:

Database
Database cache (?)

You probably don‘t need the cache. If it is like other cache files, it will be rebuilt.

Signatures
Rules
Mailing lists

These have names that are self-explanatory. You need them if you don’t want to lose your signatures, rules and mailing list managers ;-) The core of the data though (the e-mails, contacts, events...) are in the database.

Is it correct that I can choose which database I want in the identity (i.e. November 13) and give the identity an a name and place it in the Microsoft
X identities folder and switch to that one from the main identity.

If you use the Switch identity command, as I mentioned in my last e- mail, you don’t need to do anything in the Finder.

How important is it that I do the Entourage X update prior to this?

Fairly… Older versions have bugs. Newer versions also do better at fixing corrupted databases.

Is there ant way that the update will create a bigger problem??

I really really really doubt it.
