I just finished a big-deal by reinstalling OS X 10.5.7, then removing Office 2008 with the Microsoft Remove tool. I then installed Office 2008 v12.0.0 from the disc and ran the SP updater, then the Office2008-1217UpdateEN.dmg and finally tried to apply the Office2008-1219UpdateEN.dmg and it failed on the last of the install ... said something about failed to install a Japanese script of some kind. Did a restart of the Intel iMac and launched Excel first as test and it worked perfect. Then tried Entourage and it crashed on launch .... just like it was doing before the fresh install and noticed the "Microsoft Database" was back in my OS X Login items. I deleted it AGAIN and Entourage is working but I question if the 12.1.9 install and update really worked as the About Entourage says
Microsoft@ Entourage@ 2008 for Mac Version 12.1.0 (090515) Latest Installed Update: 12.1.7 What's with the note saying the latest Installed Update is 12.1.7? I tried to run the Office2008-1219UpdateEN.dmg combo again and it failed because it detected 12.1.9 and said it cannot update this volume. How can I obtain the updates that should have been installed with 12.1.9? Do others show "Latest installed Update: 12.1.9" or 12.1.7 like mine? How can I get the most current version of Entourage with all of the 12.1.0 updates On Friday6/26/09 8:00 AM, "Richard Kriss" <[email protected]> wrote: -- YouTalk mailing list List address: [email protected] List information: http://entourage.mvps.org/support_options/list.html List moderator: [email protected], [email protected] To unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
