This is something I'd like to see changed with the feedback system.

I have a saying, "Communication happens when I know that you know what I
know." Sounds convoluted, but essentially one-way communication is not
communication. Your customers want two-way communication.

I completely understand that MacBU can't respond to every message received,
but at least a courtesy E-mail with "Your message has been received...
Here's what we do with it... Please don't expect a response, but be assured
we have heard you..." would go a long way toward giving folks faith in this
system.

What would really go a long way to instilling confidence would be a second
mechanism that automatically notifies the user via E-mail with a "bug
number" or something that says, "your problem corresponds to bug number
######". When bugs are squashed and an update is released then those bug
numbers would be included in the release notes.

I doubt you want to post a list of open bugs to the public, but posting the
top 10 and committing to fixing them publicly would also give folks
confidence they're being heard, that you're listening and that you're
communicating.

Regardless, thanks for all the great work you do, Nadyne!
