Asking if this makes sense is asking if it is rational, and that is what Jack
Kornfield (and I) would call illusions.
Jack Kornfield is correct. Just pure sensory experience without any thinking
or judging – only awareness. That’s why I call it Just THIS!
Just THIS! is Buddha Mind.
The ‘mind’ you’ve been talking about is linked with the concept of self. It’s
a construction post-experience. It’s an illusion.

Subject: [Zen] Re: Mind
I've been reading a book about buddhist psychology by Jack Kornfield, and he
talks about mind or consciousness being just what we apprehend, pure
experience, not even based on memory. Does that make any sense?
What can I read about this that will help me out?
