Well, now, now, NOW. Sorry, don't misunderstand, pls. No, I would not look for Originality. That's already been DONE. ;-)
What you write seems illiterate, to me. You mention "Zen". Sure it's Zen, .. it's just not YOUR zen, when you post others's words. Don't you know this? Your zen is what I care about, as a reader and as a participant; and, the author of the work you crib-from is not here to defend himself/herself/itself. Third-party stuff is the worst, when not commented on, and owned by yourself. I MEAN the WORST. Why hide behind it, or use it to represent yourself? It is not YOURS! Even if you "like" it/ ;-) Boring, boring, ... . We can all dredge up quotes and favorite texts. However, the key thing, in a Forum -- if something is important to you -- is WHY it is important to you. Most mere quoters never say. They post stuff just to be entertained by the replies. I call that on-line behavior "hiding", "concealment", and "selfish". In addition, it stinks. Folks post and duck, duck and cover, post and hide. Post and RUN. Phooey on that goofy behavior. It's forgivable, but not tolerable. Posting dead words without your live participation is just SPAM. I say again, ...SPAM. Oh, did I mention... "SPAM"? Any Zen teacher knows this in her bones, and would THRASH you to within an inch of your supposed life, until you capitulate, or, better, see SENSE. Now, I hope you will get on with it, pls. (Oh, well, a fellow can only try and hope). What's on that fictitious mind, over there?.
