Haiku on the other hand are not bad to quote, because they are blessedly short and pithy, usually meaningful, and they are usually better left without motivation and commentary anyway, to be sure. ;-)
To my knowledge, I have never quoted a Haiku. Likely nothing else here either save the occasional "Is that so?" and "Don't know." Haiku are more fun to write, a nice game for mind to play. The short format, blissfully limiting, the expressions effortlessly weeded of 'the stink of zen' that arises within intellectual discussions of zen.
