Our Shihfu Sheng Yen had all his students give great attention to the body, in the course of practice, and everyday life... and both. ;-) I used to refer to my body to my late teacher as "this Mule", because it sometimes seemed hard to motivate. But that was wrong, I think: It's *I* -- the idea of an I -- who am the mule; the body has nothing to do with it. The body has often been hurt by me, and seldom cared for correctly. Well, lesson learned. And learned again. And again. Etc.
