Not to light a fire under you again Mike but I read this the other day and my
evil twin is making me post it here.  Sorry for the off-topic post

I was in a club last Saturday night and had a few.

I noticed 2 large women by the bar.

They both had strong accents

So I asked "Hey, are you 2 ladies from Ireland?"

One of them chirped: "It's Wales you freaking idiot"

So I apologized and said --- "Sorry are you 2 whales from Ireland?"

That's the last thing I remember.

Merle,

>mike..for christ sake..i know it was a free election... how much did rupert
>murdoch have in manipulating the voters?
jesus we all know that "free" ain't what it was or is
do you honestly believe "joe blow" knows anything about politics?
he is mass fed with bullshit and he swallows it hook line and sinker
 get real...<

And then the classic, "mike do not lecture me". I dunno why, but something
about
a goose and a gander springs to mind. Anyway, ..

>you rave about thatcher ..okay you are in wales..so you have
>labour..right..why
>are you so bothered with Thatcherism then?

Because it is personal. Did you miss the bit I said about dead soldiers in the
Falklands? My community being destroyed? Or maybe you don't know much about UK
politics (which is fair enough). Wales might send mostly Labour MPs to
represent
her, but the 30 we send kinda pales against the 580 England sends. Thatcher
used
this unevenness of numbers to fuck Wales over in a way not done before or since.

>..good on you stick to your guns..why did you let the english run amok in
>wales?.

It took the Normans 1 day to beat the Saxons, but 200 years to get even close
to
conquering the Welsh. And try as they might they still haven't. Seen all those
bilingual signs, seen the Welsh language TV stations, heard the Welsh only
radio
stations, read the UK government forms that are now legally required to be
written in Welsh as well as English, heard about the English-owned holiday
homes
in Wales that are burnt down to prevent local Welsh people being unable to
afford them, the vote for Devolution which gave us a National Assembly? Not one
of these concessions were given out of the goodness of the UK government's
heart, but was hard fought for by local Welsh people. And not one spot of blood
was spilt in doing so. Do you also believe the Aborigines also "let" the early
colonists "run amok" on their land? Don't lecture me on things you don't know.

Yma o hyd. Cymru am byth!

Mike
