ED,

All this talk about mountains reminds me of a lovely story I heard once.

A group of students were on a study tour of Buddhism in Hong Kong and after a
week long meditation retreat were promised a trip to see the famous statue of
Buddha which sat at the top of a difficult to walk up mountain. After a 2 to 3
hour walk thru the humid jungle, and equally long hike up the steep mountain,
they eventually made it to the top of the mountain only to see a sign saying
that the statue had been removed for repairs. Just under the sign, and written
by hand, was a further message saying that if anyone couldn't see Buddha from
where they were, then they had better go back down the hill and continue
meditating.
