It's fine to see another practitioner here.
I don't know what to advise, except for one thing:
I advise you to seek a teacher and a sangha.
They'll have a powerful and safe place to practice intensively. This is how
many of us work; and, given good luck (causes/conditions), how many of us
awaken.
If a sangha and a teacher is not available or easily possible soon, then let's
talk some more.
But sangha and teacher give you the best conditions for practice, as you must
know. Are you with any such?
