Erik,

Good to meet you by name, and see you here again.

Yes, I think my "take" on vows is mostly an "operational" one. I've become so
blamably practical and pragmatic (if they're not the same thing[s]): it's the
Zen training, you know.

Was a time when I could and would carry on at length about everything but the
practical, or even the practical. I can still do that, and perhaps as well as
anyone, but I've given myself modified marching-orders over the years, which
I'm mostly unwitting of, except to see their results as the decades "progress".
Well, I hope it's progress. It's certainly evolution, or at least change.

Funny, when I first heard Hendrix' song, I thought he began it with "PE-dro".
I thought he was quizzing some guy named "Pedro". Try it. Give a listen?:

"Pe-dro, ...where you goin' with that... GUN in your hand?"

Could be a big hit in Mexico, etc.: "Pedro, a donde va con la pistola en la
mano?"

A lot of people have begun conversations with me by asking that first actual
line, though. I love it. Always will.

A fave performance of the song, to a stunned or unwitting young well-dressed,
well-behaved, sober?!, German audience -- who doesn't/don't QUITE know what
they've just experienced -- is this one (Wow!). See the left-handed Lutenist
play that right-handed backwards-strung Strat, like he'd invented it, front and
center, on top of his head, behind his back, and using even his tongue as
plectrum.

Gibson still makes the guitar, but what about the Player?:
