no it's not off zen... zen is life and life is zen..how else would you have it?..a separate dance?
why do you say that?.. here you speak of love and say lennon who was besotted by yoko..obviously... you say it was not so?... so why was he so weak he could not dispose of her and put may as his number 1.? .not all is as it seems.. often when we look back we colour our remembering with what might have been... or maybe's merle Merle, The biographer interviewed some 427 people who knew John while alive. I call that working from Primary Sources. What a thorough job, Merle! Since the subject has left the planet, one has to go to the next closest authorities. One can also go to writings, movies, videos, diaries, and Police records. All of which the biographer did, and more. Don't you think that such interviewing and canvassing and documentation is what a legitimate biographer should and must do? I do. The fact that Goldman paints what for some is an unpleasant or disillusioning painting of Lennon (and his association with Ono) does not make him a bad painter. I don't find the work unpleasant at all, but I do find it disturbing, and informative. And illuminating into many corners of a formative time in my life. For that and for Goldman's outstanding service, I'm grateful, even if Lennon is not the star of the Show. The Music stands, though. Goldman's bio (with Schiller) of Lenny Bruce is pretty good, too. (this continues to be off-topic in a Zen-echo, and I apologize for that, All). --Joe > Merle Lester wrote: > > joe no more than your knowledge ..from books..merle > > My Merle, > > "Them", who, you mean them Beatles? > > I hear his voice...
