He was weak because of his constitution, and because of drug use, which is a
combination that causes worsening of both.
Drugs are proscribed in the Precepts *not* for nothing: A Buddha does not
partake of "The Wine of Delusion", as it was called in the good old days.
The Precepts, you know, just describe the behavior of a Buddha. Our Study of
the Precepts consists in our practicing them.
