drugs ..drugs drugs...the world of drugs that we encounter now is quite
alarming..
a pill for this a pill for that......
always popping pills ..big business our society now..
occasionally i taketh of the wine that jesus spoke of and find the mediative
quality enhances perception..
cultures have know to use a variety of plants to enhance awareness...
now a days the youth pop the pill at the dance floor..screaming all night long
to techno music...

where has the mediative occasion flown...?...
where has the search for deepness into ones being flown?...

our interior landscape is yet unknown...
exploring the reality as we see it around us..indeed..
however there is the inner world...

with all the busyness of today who gives a chance for slow deep breathing and
meditation upon a flower to take place?...
i fear it is a dying art and those who believe they know the answer to the
golden flower are busy with greasy palms waiting for the dollars

merle..don't pick on john..he did what he did... loved who he loved... as did
yoko..compassion please joe!

Merle,

He was weak because of his constitution, and because of drug use, which is a
combination that causes worsening of both.

Drugs are proscribed in the Precepts *not* for nothing: A Buddha does not
partake of "The Wine of Delusion", as it was called in the good old days.

The Precepts, you know, just describe the behavior of a Buddha. Our Study of
the Precepts consists in our practicing them.
