Bill!,<br/><br/>Ultimately, we are the path and the Dharma, but only when the 'we' is extinguished. This is what Buddha (re)discovered and what he taught. The teachings are the finger pointing to the moon. Buddha was explicit about that (carrying the raft). I agree with the article you or Merle posted - that the teachings ultimately "self destruct".
