True. I'm not really that comfortable with the word 'spiritual' myself because 
its so hard to pin down a definitive meaning. The meaning I usually have for it 
is just a convenient label for the cultivation and transformation of the 
ordinary, everyday self to the all inclusive non-self.

Alrighty then, but what the Dalai Lama said was not referring to anything 
spiritual, was it?  I don't think so.  I don't think kindness or compassion is 
a spiritual quality.  It's just what you do.  There's nothing special about it.
