From: Diana I found out the reason
they have such deformities and damage to limbs is because of the numbness that
is a symptom of the disease. As a result of lack of feeling, they do
things that harm themselves and persist in the harmful behavior. They
don't take steps to heal properly. They become less able to take care of
themselves and others.>>
Isn't that what happens to some people's personalities also? Are some
people numbed by their personal traumas to such a degree?
