I Lived In Rural Areas For Years. I Have Yet To Meet
Anyone Who Hunted Out Of Either Hatred Or Anger. I Do
Think That When You React To A Situation Out Of Anger
And Ignorance It Is Anger And Ignorance You Teach By
Example. You Cannot Make Yourself Responsible For The
Peace In The Hearts Of Your Family And Friends, Nor
Can You Put Peace There For Them. Taking The Precepts
Is Not A Ticket On The Peace Train. There Is Nothing
Magic In A Vow That Will Change How You Respond In A
Challenging Situation. You Still Must Create A
Different Response. No One But You Can Create The
Peace You Seek, And No Hunter Can Disturb It Unless
You Let Them. Vows Easily Taken Are Even More Easily
Broken. It Will Take A Lifetime Of Creating Peace
Moment By Moment In Order To Teach Peace To Others By
Example. I Would Suggest You Quit Making Excuses For
Your Past Pathetic Attempts And Start To Create Real
Peace In This Moment. Then In The Next. Then In The
Next Till You Run Out Of Moments.
