To me it's the practises of modern agribusiness that are repugnant.
Wild meat is healthy, organic, and of low environmental impact.
And yes I know lots of people who would say that going out to the 
woods or the marsh with a gun is a lot more enjoyable than going to 
the supermarket.
Hunters trappers and fishermen are the most knowledgable and 
energetic advocates out there for the preservation of wildlife and 
wildlife habitat.
I live in rural east coast Canada, and around here the most people 
have some wild meat in their freezers.
