If you want to eliminate desire and not have relationships - become a block of 
wood. Zen practice on the other hand is about being fully human. What you might 
want to look at though is what lies underneath your question - your views of 
relationships, women (assuming you're heterosexual), and what is pure and 
impure.

  Does anyone have any experiences/thoughts on breaking the 
  attachment of intimate relationships? It seems to me to be a stupid 
  attachment that causes me much suffering and i've tried to break it 
  for years, but it's not easy. Obviously there's taking a vow of 
  celibacy, but somehow it doesn't quite cut it. It eliminates the 
  action but not the desire. Your inputs would be appreciated on this 
  one, Guy.
