Gassho, Perhaps you are familiar with vipassana or mindfulness meditation? The idea is to "consciously watch/observe"--to disengage "me" from "that". The observed can be thoughts, feelings, sensory experiences, breathing, etc. Sometimes "that" is a painful sensation--a physical pain, or a negative emotion. The consciousness of "that is mine"--identification--leads to suffering. It is an optional choice of ownership! The more we can disengage, the more we can see our true nature, our original face, void of all modifications... David -- _______________________________________________ NEW! Lycos Dating Search.
