Nice Jill -- I know well the angry reaction to that tiger/hanging/strawberry
story, and also the comfort/instruction it can give when heard with less fear
of an inescapable situation.

Its funny that I have received 3 "Worst Case Scenario Handbooks" and 1 travel
game on the same -- everyone thinks of me when they see it. For example, I
used to design evacuation slides for commerical aircraft. Thus, whenever I
fly, I can't help but picture, in the event of an emergency, opening the door,
and jumping out with the inflatable (maybe save a small child in the act to
boost ratings) -- then using its large surface area/weight ratio to slow my
descent. In fact, given the cushioned landing, I could probably walk away from
the accident...

Now my ferocious struggle against inescapable doom is easier to digest. It was
for lack of seeing the strawberry that I tried to outsmart the tiger -- perhaps
just for something/anything to do.

If you've seen "Blade Runner", as the hero hangs from 3 fingers 10 floors above
the pavement, while Rutger Hauer crouches calmly just above -- in the last
instant as his fingers finlly slip their grasp and begins the freefall he
'SPITS' defiantly in Rutger's face. (of course he is almost magically snatched
by the wrist and lifted like a rag doll to safety...)

(They should have titled it Zen Runner :)
