Francisco & all, i was aware after posting that i had strayed off topic - sorry. buddhist practice for me will never be about wearing robes or living in a monastery - altho i have benefited from sesshins & do support the local community. i value my practice, and my sangha - and for me it has become an urgent question of how to take this practice into my daily life. i guess part of my mid-life crisis & current practice is wanting to find 'right livelihood'. at any rate, i would like to invite those with a similar interest to continue this discussion in a more appropriate venue - there is a list called "Buddhist Peace Fellowship" found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bpf/ which might be a better place to raise these concerns. thanks, j ------------------------ Yahoo!
