I was thinking in terms of integrating these teachings into our
schools, & making them a part of the experience children have while
growing up. While I'm not sure that having meditation practice in
school would fly in  our current society;

Here in the UK, my sons had a yoga class for 20 minutes a week in their
public school schedule. Children of all backgrounds were enthusiastic about it.

It seemed to have additional benefits in that school in general was perceived
by the children as more fun and more interesting. There was no money to fund
the yoga teacher beyond the year in which the school was applying for 'Healthy

Schools' status, however, and so the yoga sessions have now ceased. My point
is that I believe children and schools ARE ready for meditation/yoga/tai chi
classes, the only thing stopping it is funding by a central government
obsessed with attainment targets and other sham means of demonstrating it
should
be re-elected.. Should a study demonstrate that these targets are better
achieved with meditation/yoga etc then I forsee a day when funding will be
obtained.

With regards to corporations etc., my own choice has been to attempt to
live simply and not get involved in these organisations as they cause me too
much inner conflict.

I'm not sure how you would persuade shareholders of the benefits of anything
not profit oriented in our current society.
