From: "wjm_photo" The fact of the matter is that if one is getting offended, then they are the ones who are failing in their practice. Zen is not huggy feely feel good crap like so many want to pretend that it is.>>
What you think about Zen happens to be strictly your own opinion. I disagree that verbal abuse and offensive remarks are part of any practice, especially on the internet. If you want to practice an abrasive, feel-bad crap Zen, that is your problem. Tell it to the 95% of the Zen Masters that never told anybody off. Do you think that in Japan, where Honor is valued more than life, the Zen Masters are verbally abusing their students? Fudo apparently got his own gut twisted into a knot and left. Apparently he needs to follow your advice and spend more practice time on the Zafu. He did not like it when others got in his face just like he did to everyone else. He bailed out. It is easy to be "honest" when you are the only one dealing it out. Honesty is a two-way street. Apparently Fudo did not like taking a dose of his own Zen. ------------------------ Yahoo!
