Ok, let's compromise. How about fun some of the time. :) Ever get acid indigestion? Flu? Bad headache? Is that fun? Joyful? How should these be experienced? Do we try to transform them into fun and joyful experiences? How is this accomplished? What if a headache remains painful, and there's no joyful feeling anywhere? Then what. Where is liberation right there? These are questions I'm asking myself right now. I just sat zazen, my stomach's a bit uncomfortable, I have a headache, and I'm not feeling much peace or joy.
