Hi all,
I am a new member in this forum.

...........................Introduction...............................

I am presently doing my graduation at IIT Madras. I come from a very
religious Muslim family and as such used to be very religious myself,
however after staying away from my family for the last 3 years, I
began thinking about the various rituals and ideas I believed in and
slowly I started realising that maybe I was leading a false life. I
was just blindly following what my parents/family taught me was right.
This was a very disturbing experience, to realise that what you
believed in all your life was absurd ....
After that I stopped following any religion. However, after about 6
months I started feeling uneasy and frustrated. At that I began
exploring other spiritual/religious ideologies. I was introduced to
the Zen philosophy of life by one of my professors about 2 months
back. I was immediately struck by some of the ideas of Zen and began
to read more about it. I have also started practising ZaZen and find
it extremely relaxing.
So, I don't have enough knowledge about the teachings of Zen. I
wanted to use this forum as a means of knowing more about Zen, reading
books, discussing with other Zen practitioners. I am not sure if this
is in accordance with the group rules.

-------------------------End of Introduction--------------------------

Question:
I am more of an agnostic than an atheist. From whatever I have read
about Zen, I could find no reference to God. So, is Zen agnostic ?

Sorry for the long mail :-).

Thanks,
