Ok, I tried to follow your advice the best I could, but I'm still not having any luck. I'll put what I'm doing here and maybe someone can shed some light:
I'm running Windows XP Professional SP2 with windows Firewall disabled. I think the Netbios name is the same as the FQDN. What I did to verify this was to open up the system properties and set the "full computer name" to be "hostname.domain.com" I have no domain, so workgroup is set to "WORKGROUP". So at this point netbios name and the fqdn point to the same IP, this is what we want right? I'm still getting permission denied errors using wbemtest with \\hostname.domain.com\root\cimvy login: Administrator Any ideas out there? ------------------------ Carl Van Arsdall -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9629#9629 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
