A military officer who disobeys a superiors orders (unless they are
illegal) is not fit to be an officer.
Unless the order is illegal. And Truman's orders were clearly illegal by any constitutional standards. The whole war was unconstitutional.

Truman, as Commander-in-Chief, was responsible for more than just the army in the field;
The minute that Truman committed troops to the field he only had one responsibility: victory. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this.
