we have build our clusters with one zone which switched between systems but in
our environment this was the wrong way because we run in patch problems. you
need a clusterdowntime to patch all nodes+zones at the same time and keep the
installed patches in sync.
with two no-failover zones and a application which switched between the zones,
you can patch the systems independently with running application, the
patchlevel can be out of sync, exactly like the old pre-zones cluster.
