I just think there should be rules down about whether OT is okay or not,
top/bottom posting is polite or not, blah blah blah.

So at least when there is an OT meltdown there is something to refer to.

Well, that’s innocuous enough for most – w/o sounding too heavy (thinks:
Neil, The Young Ones).

I must say I’m amazed at some of the behaviour, lack of humour, and
intolerance. And ignorance (sensu stricto) naiveté / lack of general
knowledge– but it’s probably a good representation of society at large and I
shouldn’t be surprised.

Maybe there’s not enough smilies thrown in to enable recognition of gentle
kidding or irony?

It may require concrete examples of top-posting, inline etc – some (eg,
Arjang and not confined to him) are sometimes a little naïve or
under-educated about some things.

Add: jobs, language, ad hominem / personal attacks.

Anyway, I’m off to read a book.
