I just think there should be rules down about whether OT is okay or not, top/bottom posting is polite or not, blah blah blah.
So at least when there is an OT meltdown there is something to refer to. Well, thats innocuous enough for most w/o sounding too heavy (thinks: Neil, The Young Ones). I must say Im amazed at some of the behaviour, lack of humour, and intolerance. And ignorance (sensu stricto) naiveté / lack of general knowledge but its probably a good representation of society at large and I shouldnt be surprised. Maybe theres not enough smilies thrown in to enable recognition of gentle kidding or irony? It may require concrete examples of top-posting, inline etc some (eg, Arjang and not confined to him) are sometimes a little naïve or under-educated about some things. Add: jobs, language, ad hominem / personal attacks. Anyway, Im off to read a book. _____ Ian Thomas Victoria Park, Western Australia _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Connors Sent: Sunday, 28 February 2010 7:02 PM To: Mailing List Administration Subject: Re: ozdotnet.com On 28 February 2010 20:54, Ian Thomas <[email protected]> wrote: What are your ideas about a charter, btw? -- David Connors ([email protected]) Software Engineer Codify Pty Ltd - www.codify.com Phone: +61 (7) 3210 6268 | Facsimile: +61 (7) 3210 6269 | Mobile: +61 417 189 363 V-Card: https://www.codify.com/cards/davidconnors Address Info: https://www.codify.com/contact
