I think as a start the "rules" or guide or whatever it ends up being called
should initially just document the house rules as they currently stand.
Like you said, things on [OT] posts, job ads, flamewars, Friday posts etc
etc. If its documented then ppl know where they stand.
The issue of [OT] posts is working pretty well. As long as ppl remember to
put the [OT] in their subject then those who feel strongly enough to do
something about not reading them can set up a rule to delete them.

I keep imagining us as a group writing something that syncs elists with
forums but I have a vivid imagination. I also lack the interest right now to
start anything. I'm happy to play computer games at the end of the day, its
my mental unwind. :)
