Robert, the theme was mythcenter wide, which I don't think is that
heavy. If there are more lightweight themes anyone can suggest I'd be
happy to try them.  To be fair, once it has swapped out about 200MB
playback of recorded shows looks OK.  Once you stop watching something
much swapping ensues again.  But without the gnome desktop I have lost
sound and my bluetooth keyboard doesn't work any more.  Fixable I'm
sure, but I don't need the hassle.

I think I can run the default Mythbuntu 9.10 desktop with all the
bells and whistles and XBMC will still play nice.  That's my current
plan of attack.
