My wife picked up a 6 pack of AAA rootbeer diet and that is what I am using right now. They fit the best I have erer had. I forgot to mention you will have to heat a syringe needle and poke a hole in the nipple. I use an old 20 gauge syringe. I have had problems with the last shipment of them will not seal on the sir valve ball. Also had one that had no air hole.

one thing I can add about those Pritchard nipples-- a strange fact.
They ONLY fit on higher quality throw-away water bottles (like Evian
and such). Something about the threading. If it's a more premium
plastic water bottle, the threads fit. If it's the single cheapest
water you can get from Costco, they will leak like crazy at the
threads.

also, try to milk out some real colostrum from a ewe if you can. Not
easy on these small girls. try youtube and look for the videos of the
smaller milker made from a cut-off large syringe barrel.

Most of the milk replacers are 1 part replacer to 2 parts water. I don;t
think Manna Pro is that much richer.... Might be.... I would add more
replacer, and get the nipple in her mouth and give the bottle a little
squeeze. Also be sure you are using a pritchard teat nipple. It is the
yellow cap with the red nipple and fits on a coke or pepsi plastic bottle.
Tractor Supply has them for sure. If she still fights the nipple after 3
ior 4 tries, then wrap your fingers around her mouth to keep the nipple in
while holding her mouth closed and give the botle a squeeze. It is sort of
a "drink or drown" position. I have done this several times and after about
2 times they find the replacer is really pretty good. I could tell you how
to insert a feeding tube, and you would have a 90% probability of doing it
right. However, I have fed over 30 lambs with a tube, and I hate to do it
every time I do.... The pritchard nipples are the only ones that I have
been able to use for blackbellies.
All the other ones are too stiff or too big.

After successfully raising 10 lambs we have our first rejected bottle
baby. She has a twin sister that the mom didn't reject and every time
I tried to set her near them she got head butted.

Over the past 24 hours every couple hours we've been feeding 1 part
kaeco Colostrum + 1 part mana pro milk replacer mixed with 4 parts
warm water (best we could figure out from the conflicting directions)
and she'll take the bottle but won't drink very much. I would say
total she's had maybe 50-75 CCs total in the past 24 hours. I read on
here that she needs at least 10% of her body weight per day. Which
for 4.8 lbs would be something like 220 CCs. She looks pretty weak
and thin and while she'll stand up and walk around she looks a lot
less healthy and happy than her sister out back with her mom.
Anything obvious we're doing wrong?

I'm terrified of the idea of tube feeding since I've never done it
before but we are willing to give it a try if we have no other choice.
Is this the next step and if so does anyone know of a good training
video or guide or something? If you can't tell we are complete noobs
at this.

Thank you all so much and thanks again for the great advice you give!
