Thank you Jamison - forgot my history there - but then history is
written by those who claim the spoils.
I thought it was funny though about 10 years ago, the Catholic Church
and Pope still will not admit Galileo was right.......
Now in the bible the Sun or Son walks in the circuit of the heavens; yet
I do wonder in the 1500 period, how they could have drawn maps on the
world that were so accurate as to seem impossible. Even John Glenn
when he was way up there said he was amazed, that the boundaries of the
earth and land there upon, from maps were very, very accurate.
On my mothr's side, most of her family were Greek and Latin Scholars -
one helped revise bible and the little souvenier edition has all these
maps, one showing St. Paul's line of journies, and it is amazing - today
used as drug routes.
Everything old is new again?
Thanks again - but also that four corners of the earth bit -see now why
a Jesuit spends often a lifetime attenpting to decipher one verse in the
bible.
