early and speakers submitting their talk proposals earlier
than just before the deadlines.

I wouldn't count on earlier submissions. PyCon accepts only about 50% of submitted talks and still *most* of them are submitted on the last day.

I know it's a shame to reject potentially good talks (and talk selection is a difficult process) but I think that accepting a fixed number of talks will lead to a better conference.

A big thanks to Laura and John for their work on this years EuroPython and on the next one.
