I bet Putin plays a better game of poker than Obama. Best to pretend it isn't something worth getting upset about than to lose face later on Obama knew this was coming. He had to play this bluff to make Putin think about invading the Ukraine. Now that Putin called his bluff, Obama will take another tack by taking the fight at the UN. It's obviously idiotic for the US to start a war over this.
