There has also been a lot of work done on ATIS. The _Sport Model_ has an ATIS realistic enough to be useful. Also AWOS/ASOS and other related features. http://www.av8n.com/fly/fgfs/README.sport.model http://www.av8n.com/fly/fgfs/git-overview > I was wondering if anyone was looking at a controller and pilot method I don't know what is a "controller and pilot method" > of > quickly sending and responding to messages like a push button UI having the > ATIS, departure procedure et.. for the controller and the replies for the > pilot such as $callsign_affirmative, negative et.. Wouldn't audio be the appropriate channel for clearances etc? The audio -- in particular the text-to-speech -- is definitely in need of improvement. I'm thinking that's where the emphasis should be, rather than spending too much effort on textual presentations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
